UZOADVISORY

About

UZO means “the way.”

UZO Advisory is what our clients hire when the way through has stopped being obvious: the way through a hostile supplier market, the way to energy costs that make sense, the way into markets others find too hard to enter.

The story

UZO Advisory was founded by Paul Ochiaka, a procurement leader whose career spans the categories this firm now serves. He ran IT hardware procurement at Standard Chartered, overseeing hardware spend across EMEA, and at FIS Global. For the past five years he has led direct material categories at a global building technologies OEM: heat exchangers, chillers, valves, drives, pumps, sensors, compressors, CDUs, and the full thermal, electrical, and controls landscape. Across that career he has negotiated €200M+ of spend and delivered 15% average savings.

Founded in the Netherlands and operating across Europe, UZO was built on a simple observation: the companies that most need world class procurement, mid sized European operators and ambitious industrial buyers, are precisely the ones the big consultancies fly over. And the European manufacturers with the best equipment in the world are losing the fastest growing markets for lack of a partner they trust on the ground.

UZO exists to be that someone. And for North American buyers sourcing from Europe, UZO is the desk on the ground inside the supplier base. One firm, three markets, three ways to make your equipment economics work.

How we’re different

We’re operators.

Every engagement is led by someone who has carried a savings target, survived a supplier escalation, and signed the contract. Not summarized one.

We’re at risk with you.

Gain share pricing on sourcing work. Our invoice depends on your savings.

We’re specialists on purpose.

UZO brings in category managers who live in their domain, so every engagement is run by someone who negotiates that exact equipment for a living. One firm, three markets, three services, all in categories we have personally negotiated. Depth is the product.
